Welcome to my first blog post. I know that I am very late to the blogging scene but something sparked in my head recently as the new year rolled in, that I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions with the world. And we all know that Facebook just does not cut it, despite the Notes feature being their version of a blog somewhat. Anyway, 2011 is here! Yay! So since it is the new year and all, my wife and I have started on this morning gym routine. Now before you scoff at typical broken new year resolutions, I want to say that we are going every single day and trying to make it an unavoidable part of our daily routine. That is the only way to do it! That and… going with at least one other person helps, I think.
So anyway, I was doing bicep curls the other day with dumbbells. I started with the 10 kg ones and when I got to the 12’s, I couldn’t find them. I looked everywhere in the vicinity of the labelled rack where the 12 kg ones are supposed to sit but couldn’t find them. Then I took a walk around the weights room trying to somewhat surreptitiously examine any douchebags hogging several dumbbells around their feet so that they can finish their workout before anybody else even starts theirs! As I was walking back to the dumbbell rack, pretty much resigned to the fact that I would have to manage with 11’s or 13’s instead of 12, I found the 12 kg dumbbells where the label read 4 kg. 4!!! I mean, how dumb do you have to be to not know where these things go, especially when they are clearly marked and in numerical order?!? Actually, it is a lot worse in the evenings. So I couldn’t be happier that I have started going to the gym in the morning.
